Why do you need my e-mail address to register?
We need to verify that you have a genuine e-mail address in order to prevent spammers and other types of automated programs from filling VRV with Spam and other types of junk listings. We use your address to contact you regarding your account with us. Your e-mail address is not shown to the general public in your listings on the site unless you choose to include it within the description of your listing (which we recommend you don't!). Virtual Rogue Valley will not send you spam and will not sell, give away, or otherwise provide your e-mail address to anyone else.
How do people respond to my listings on VRV?
Your listing will show your username along with a "contact seller" link; when someone uses this link, VRV automatically forwards their message to the e-mail address you used when you registered your account. The person contacting you does not see your e-mail address. NOTE: If you choose to respond directly to the e-mail of the person contacting you, your e-mail address will be included, the same as with any other e-mail you send out.
I need to change my contact e-mail address and update other account information.
Click on the "My Account" button. When the "My Account" page opens, click on "My Account Settings" and then click "Edit My Info". Make any changes you want, then click "submit my changes" near the bottom of the page.
